I almost though I might be the lone survivor still using a Boxee. Sep 19, - 5: I was able to hack my boxee successfully, but when I attempted to add KODI and XBMC to the device, I kept receiving the same result — black screen after restarting the device, as long as my flash drive was connected the flash drive had been formatted, and contained KODI initially then XBMC, but the result was the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It says I have to compile a build because it is a Linux device.

And do I need to name the usb stick a particular name? So what are we doing with the old Boxee Box? What can I do to fix this?

It's truly AwEsOmE to see that folks like our articles and small applications. Devil strikes website is down and also the link to download http: I have tried to do this but it has not hscks for me. This turns a seemingly unassuming and thought-obsolete device into a pretty powerful media center, and is a quick inexpensive solution to streaming your content to yet another television.

Donations are very much appreciated, but not required. I have tried to install kodi on the device a few times using a USB. Can you recommend a better more permanent solution?
